DIALOGUE
You will act out one of the following scenes in a well organized dialogue. Each group must do a different chapter. Two of the main focuses of this assignment is to not copy straight out of the book but rather to put it into your own words (in fact, if you do copy more than a few lines, you will get a zero on the assignment) and to get into your character and make your character believable. Your focus isn’t costumes or props but the expression in your voice and your ability to move the audience from their seats into your stories. Costumes and props are still more than welcome and will usually enhance any presentation. Lines must always be shared. You may choose to do this however you like. For example, you could switch characters half way through so that you both get an equal amount of lines. Depending on the length of your chapter and the information given to you, your dialogue will be between 1 to 2 pages typed and double-spaced (if you do not know how to do this ask me or if you are writing it by hand, it will be between 3 and 4 pages). You will hand in a copy of your script to be evaluated. Each person should have his or her own script during the presentation as passing around the script takes away from your presentation. Be creative and have fun!
Your topics are as follows:
Crabbe’s Journal 1: Create a dialogue between Dr. Browne and Crabbe. There is no need to swear.
