- In Crabbe's Digression, he is critical of what is expected of teenagers. He is critical of what is expected of society in general. Do you agree with his view on this? Why or why not?
- Mrs. Owens tells Crabbe that he can decide on the kind of person he wants to be. What similarities do you see between her and Mary? Do you agree with her? Do you think people can be the people they want to be?
